Jawaharlal Nehru Port, widely known as Nava Sheva or JNPT, is administered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is one of India's leading container ports, with several container terminals, frequent mainline services to every major trade lane, and rail links to inland container depots across western and northern India. For shippers in Maharashtra and beyond, or for lanes and sailings not available from Gujarat, it is often the natural gateway.
