Warehousing and Storage in Gandhidham
Globelink Shipping and Logistics offers warehousing in Gandhidham and storage close to Kandla and Mundra ports for import, export and transit cargo. Moving cargo out of the port quickly stops demurrage and port storage charges, and keeping it close to the port means it is ready to ship or deliver when you need it. We handle receipt, storage, stock records and dispatch.
We have access to 40,000 sq ft of covered warehousing and 3 acres of open yard in Gandhidham, within easy reach of both ports.
Storage options
Covered warehousing
Weather-protected storage for bagged cargo, packaged goods, machinery parts, paper, steel coils and any cargo that must stay dry, which matters during the Kutch monsoon.
Open yard storage
Hard-standing yard space for steel, pipes, timber, project cargo, vehicles and containers where cover is not needed.
Short-term transit storage
For cargo waiting on a vessel, a CFS slot or customs clearance, so it does not sit in the port and pay port charges.
Bonded storage
For imported cargo where you want to defer duty payment until you remove the goods, in our own bonded warehouse.

Security and cargo care
Cargo is only as safe as the place it sits. We look after it with controlled gate entry and exit records, regular stock counts, pest control for agri cargo, and firefighting equipment on site. Damaged or short-landed cargo is photographed and reported on receipt, so responsibility is clear from day one. Facilities are covered by CCTV and 24-hour security.

Why store near the port?
- Stop port charges sooner: cargo leaves the terminal as soon as it is cleared, ending ground rent and demurrage.
- Ship on short notice: export cargo is staged minutes from the port, ready for the vessel's arrival or the container cut-off.
- Deliver in instalments: importers can call off cargo in truckloads as their plant needs it, instead of taking the whole shipment at once.
- Fewer handling steps: the same team moves cargo from the vessel or CFS straight into storage.

- Book space: tell us the cargo, quantity, packaging and expected period.
- Receive: cargo arrives from the port, the CFS or your supplier, and is tallied and stacked.
- Store and report: regular stock statements, and photos on request.
- Dispatch: you send delivery orders and we load your trucks or arrange road haulage.

Storage works best as part of a plan. A typical import discharged by our stevedoring team can go straight from the hook to our warehouse, be cleared by customs and then be delivered in stages, all managed by one coordinator.
Warehousing FAQs
What is the minimum storage period?
One week. Bulk and bagged cargo is billed per tonne per week, and dedicated space per square foot per month.
Can you store hazardous cargo?
Only cargo classes permitted at the facility and under the applicable licences. Please share the MSDS when you enquire.
Do you provide stock reports?
Yes. We send regular statements of receipts, dispatches and balance, and answer on-request checks.
