Shipping and Port Services at Mundra Port
Globelink Shipping and Logistics handles vessels, containers and bulk cargo at Mundra Port from our office in Gandhidham. We act as port agent, handle customs clearance, manage CFS work and forward cargo door to door, with road and rail haulage into North and Central India.
Why cargo moves through Mundra
Mundra Port, operated by Adani Ports and SEZ, is one of India's largest commercial ports. Deep water on the open coast lets it take large vessels, and its container terminals see frequent mainline and feeder services. It also handles dry bulk, liquid and multipurpose cargo. Rail links into North and Central India make it a strong choice for containers bound for inland container depots, and for shippers who want frequent sailings on regular lanes.

- Rail and road haulage: container rail to inland depots, with first-mile and last-mile trucking.
Working Mundra well
At Mundra, berth windows are tighter but turnarounds are faster, so preparation decides how smoothly a call goes. Containers are often routed to a CFS nominated by the shipping line or chosen by the importer, each with its own tariffs and free days. We advise on the nomination before the vessel arrives, when it can still be changed, and have documents filed so assessment starts before the box lands.
Keeping free days
Ground rent at the CFS and detention from the shipping line start once free days run out. Advance filing, booked examinations, trucks lined up for Out of Charge and prompt empty returns are what keep both charges down.
Container rail
For containers moving inland, rail can carry cargo from Mundra to inland depots, where it can be cleared at destination when the documents allow. We price rail against door-to-door road so you can compare on equal terms.
One plan with Kandla
Many importers use both ports: bulk through Kandla, containers through Mundra. Because our team works both daily from Gandhidham, the same coordinator can run a shipment at Mundra and a vessel at Kandla under one plan.
Mundra port FAQs
Why does my import container go to a CFS at Mundra?

Can imports at Mundra be cleared at an inland depot instead?
Yes, where the shipping documents and customs procedure allow movement under bond to the destination depot. We advise which suits your cargo.
